Dr. Turner meets with clients in the relaxed and tranquil environment of The Whole Works, a complementary therapy centre at Jackson’s Close on Edinburgh's Royal Mile.

The first session will be approximately 90 minutes long, and will included a full history and discussion of hypnotherapy. A suitable therapeutic intervention and treatment schedule will be decided upon with the client, and a light trance will be induced. During the first session, usually a simple progressive relaxation and a guided visualisation will be all that will be done. Subsequent sessions are of approximately 60 minutes duration, and will involve hypnoanalysis and therapy directed towards the therapeutic goal, and conducted mostly in trance. The number of sessions required will be discussed during the first session, and will depend on the aim of the therapy, and on the individual client.
